Horrific accident in Nepal: Bus falls into Trishuli river, 18 people killed, 25 others injured
Kathmandu, 23 February. At least 18 people died when a bus fell into the Trishuli river in Nepal’s Dhading late Sunday night. Nepal’s national newspaper Kathmandu Post gave this information. According to media reports, the passengers injured in the bus accident that took place at Charoundi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
According to reports, the bus going from Pokhara to Kathmandu fell into the Trishuli river at 1:15 am. Police said that 18 people died and 25 people were injured in the accident. Of these, 24 have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. One injured passenger is a New Zealand citizen. He has been sent to Malekhu Teaching Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, he is out of danger and has decided to continue treatment there instead of going to Kathmandu. The bodies have been sent to Gajuri Community Hospital for post-mortem. The bus had left from Pokhara’s Tourist Bus Park at 7 pm on Sunday evening. Some foreign nationals were traveling in this bus being run by Prithvi Highway Bus Operator Company Private Limited.
