Horrific road accident in Almora: Tractor trolley overturned out of control, painful death of two youths created chaos in the village.
Traveling on the hilly roads of Uttarakhand is proving to be risky these days. Road accidents happening every day have left the valleys of Devbhoomi inconsolable. The latest case has come to light from Almora district, where a horrific road accident extinguished the lives of two families. Due to the accident of a tractor trolley in Deghat area here, two youths died on the spot, while two others are seriously injured. After this incident, a wave of mourning has spread in the entire area.
The trolley went out of control and overturned on the road.
This tragic accident happened in Chintoli village near Deghat. Actually, four youths of Chintoli village were traveling on a tractor trolley. The journey was normal, but suddenly the tractor trolley went out of control midway. Eyewitnesses say that due to the speed of the vehicle and loss of balance, the trolley overturned on the road itself. There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. All four youths were badly trapped after being crushed under the trolley. Without wasting any time, the local people immediately informed the police and themselves got involved in the rescue work.
Almora Tractor Trolley Accident: Two friends from the same village lost their lives
As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and with the help of local villagers, after a lot of effort, pulled out the youth buried under the debris. Everyone was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately the lives of two youth could not be saved. Doctors declared Darshan Singh (24 years) and Chandan Singh (24 years) dead at the hospital. It is being told that both the deceased and the injured youth were residents of the same village ‘Chintoli’. As soon as the news of the death of two youths from the same village reached the village, there was chaos there. The relatives of the deceased are in bad condition and crying.
The journey through the mountains is proving fatal
This accident in Almora once again raises questions on the safety standards on the hilly roads of Uttarakhand and the caution to be taken while driving. In fact, the turns on the mountains are quite sharp and it often becomes challenging to control heavy vehicles like tractors. In the initial investigation by the police, the matter seems to have spiraled out of control, but the exact cause of the accident is being investigated. Two other youths injured in the accident are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital, where their condition is said to be critical.
There was mourning and silence in the village
The deceased have been identified as Darshan Singh son of Chhodan Singh and Chandan Singh son of Prem Singh. Both of them were only 24 years old. Even before his whole life was in front of him, he died in the lap of time. The people of the village say that the four youths were very friendly and this incident has made every house in the village sad. The local administration has sent the bodies for post-mortem and legal formalities are being completed.
Controlling the increasing road accidents in Uttarakhand remains a big challenge for the government and administration. These deaths occurring every day have created fear in the minds of people. There is a need that along with the improvement of roads, the drivers should also take extra caution on the hilly roads, so that such lamps do not go out in any village again.
