Four people, including three CRPF jawans, died tragically in a horrific road accident near Bypass Khapri on Saturday morning. The collision was so severe that two people died on the spot, while two others died while being taken to the hospital. There is mourning in the area after this incident.

Soldiers were going from Jagdalpur to Raipur

According to the information received, CRPF soldiers were going from Jagdalpur towards the capital Raipur in a vehicle. As soon as his car reached the bypass located on Khapri Road in Dhamtari, there was a massive collision with a car coming from the front. According to eyewitnesses, the sound of the collision was so loud that people nearby got scared and immediately ran towards the spot for help.

Died before reaching the hospital

The seriousness of the accident can be gauged from the fact that the vehicles were blown to pieces. Dhamtari Civil Surgeon Abhishek Tonder confirmed the incident and said that a total of four people have lost their lives in the accident. He said that two people died on the spot, while two others breathed their last on the way to the hospital. At present, an injured person is undergoing treatment in the hospital, whose condition is being monitored by doctors.

Police investigation and identification of the dead

As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police and rescue team reached the spot. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. The dead include three CRPF jawans and the driver of the other vehicle. The administration is informing the families of the martyrs and the deceased driver.
