Horrific road accident in Dubai, minibus collides with truck, many Indian laborers killed, 9 seriously injured

A very painful and big news has come out from Dubai city of United Arab Emirates. Several Indian laborers died while nine others were seriously injured in a horrific road accident here on Monday. This horrific accident happened when a minibus carrying laborers collided with a heavy truck parked in the middle of the road due to a technical fault from behind.

Giving information about the accident, Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic of Dubai Police, said that preliminary investigation has revealed that due to a technical fault, a truck suddenly stopped in the middle of the road on Emirates Road. Meanwhile, the driver of the minibus coming from behind allegedly failed to maintain a safe distance and due to his distraction, the speeding bus collided directly with the truck. The collision was so severe that the bus was blown to pieces. In this tragic accident, seven people died on the spot, while nine people were injured. Among the injured, the condition of five is said to be very critical and the condition of four is said to be moderate.

Indian Consulate started helping, met the injured
The Indian Consulate in Dubai has expressed deep condolences on this tragic incident. Embassy officials said that they are in constant touch with the local administration and are engaged in providing all possible legal and humanitarian assistance to the victims and their families. A team of Indian officials immediately reached the hospital and met the injured Indians and ensured better treatment for them. At present, the Traffic Accident Investigation Team of Dubai Police is investigating the matter closely and with the help of cranes, the damaged vehicles have been removed and the traffic has been smoothened.
