Horror anime Uzumaki final episode schedule: Release date, time, and other streaming details

Three episodes of the much awaited horror anime Uzumaki have already been aired, and the final one is scheduled for release on October 20, 2024. Uzumaki is based on Junji Ito’s well-known horror manga.

The anime is produced by the English studio Production I.G. USA, recently debuted on the American TV network Adult Swim on September 29, 2024. The final episode is anticipated soon, and new episodes have been broadcast every week thereafter. Although nothing has been proven as of yet, production problems could cause delays.

Unlike other anime, the series isn’t readily accessible on international streaming platforms like Netflix or Crunchyroll. Instead, a day after the episodes premiere on Adult Swim, fans outside of the United States can watch them on HBO Max.

The plot centers on Kirie Goshima, a little girl who lives in Kurouzu hamlet, where odd and unsettling things related to spiral shapes start to happen. Shuichi Saitou, her boyfriend, advises her to leave the hamlet, particularly after his father dies as a result of his obsession with the spirals. Azami, Kirie’s best friend, is soon impacted by the curse and likewise perishes after falling into a spiral.

Several classmates die as a result of Kirie’s hair taking on a horrifying spiral shape in Episode 2, as she starts to experience the spiral curse herself. Shuichi’s mother’s mental collapse in Episode 3, leads to her untimely demise. At last, a powerful storm strikes the settlement, depriving its inhabitants of all means of escape.
