What are the expectations from this budget of Hospitality Sector, demand to give industry status

New Delhi : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the budget in the Parliament of India on 1 February. Every sector of the country has some hope from this budget. India's hospitality sector is also excited about the budget of 2025.

There is a possibility of a significant increase with an estimated compound annual growth rate of 10.5 percent in the coming 3 years in India's hospitality sector. This increase can be inspired by bounce in domestic and international tourism and expansion of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. As the date of the arrival of the Union Budget 2025-26 is getting closer, the leaders of different industry of the country are expressing their hope about the reforms and policy to be maintained to maintain this speed.

Strengthen infrastructure

Commercial Director Sharin Joseph at Conrad Bangalore highlights the need for strong infrastructure to support the growing passenger base. She says that India's growing appeal as a destination for trade and holiday is complemented by important investments being made across the country. To fulfill the demands of this growing passenger base, it is necessary to strengthen the hospitality infrastructure. Visionary policies and government initiatives can establish India as a global center for hospitality and tourism. GST has to be rationalized and competitiveness will have to increase.

Rajit Sardana, president of Hospitality at Central Park, emphasizes the importance of rationalizing GST rates for luxury and premium segment to increase the global competition. They also advocate infrastructure, urban planning and investment in smart city initiatives to promote integrated residential hospitality venue. Sardana says that incentives for environment, tourism and green hospitality initiatives, tax holidays and subsidy for emerging destination can promote development beyond the traditional center, which will benefit the local communities and the economy. They also emphasize the requirement of simplified compliance norms for ease of doing business.

Prashant Issar, Managing Director of Belona Hospitality Services, emphasizes the need for rational GST rates and encouragement to adopt technology. They say that favorable loan schemes and better tourism infrastructure can cause multiples on revenue and employment. Workforce development programs are necessary to prepare the area for future challenges. ”

Axia Kamboj, Executive Chairman of Aspect Global Ventures, highlights three priorities: flexible business hours, well -organized licensing procedures and restoration of input tax credit for restaurants. She says that incentives for well -organized tax structure and durable operations can attract global investment by promoting domestic tourism.

Industry status

Vikas Gutgutia, founder and MD of Ferns N. Petals, has called for industry status to easier to easier funding and regulatory benefits. He outlines the importance of developing Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as new tourism centers.
