How are Congress and BJP creating narrative against each other in Assam?
The Election Commission can announce the election dates for the Assam Assembly elections by the end of this month. Before this big announcement, big and small parties of the state are busy setting their own agenda among the public. Both the national parties Congress and BJP are at the forefront of this work. Both the parties do not want to miss even a single opportunity to humiliate each other in the eyes of the public. This is the reason why Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is continuously calling Congress State President Gaurav Gogoi a supporter of Pakistan. Not only this, the CM has said that Assam’s second largest party and the main opposition Congress is not serious about winning in the state.
On the other hand, Congress is also going among the public with BJP and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and trying to tell that this government is corrupt. Janta’s Congress in the state has said that it is fighting against the corruption and syndicate rule of BJP. In such a situation, both the parties are playing the political game of narrative against each other in Assam. Let us know how Congress-BJP are working to create the narrative…
CM Himanta Sarma’s election campaign and attack in this election is against Congress. They know that if anyone can challenge BJP in the state elections, it is the Congress party. Therefore, Sarma can attain power in the state only by defeating Congress.

Denied the importance of Priyanka Gandhi!

Raijor Dal will be in the fight, not Congress – CM
He claimed, ‘By next year, all the hardworking Muslim leaders of Congress will join Raijor Dal. Our main political concern for the next elections is not Congress but Raijor Dal because grassroots level workers can move from Congress to regional organizations.
He said that if Akhil Gogoi joins Congress then it is a different matter. But if he wants to maintain his party as an independent force, BJP will have to fight against Raijor Dal.
Both BJP and Congress are intensifying efforts to expand their reach ahead of the upcoming election contests. Question mark on Congress leadership!
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday described Congress as an immature party. Reacting to the political developments related to former Assam Congress president Bhupen Kumar Bora, he said that Congress should have paid attention to the reasons behind senior leaders leaving the party and not try to reverse their decisions by persuading them. He said that it is not that if Rahul Gandhi speaks, people will change their decision. Sarma said that when a leader resigns after serving the party for more than three decades, there are very serious reasons behind it. He said that instead of introspecting the Congress, the Congress leadership assumes that decisions can be changed by personal interference.

Congress’s narrative against BJP and CM
In Assam elections 2026, Congress is also setting the narrative among the public against BJP and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Congress has accused Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his government of corruption. This also includes alleged serious scams related to CM Himanta’s family. The party claims that BJP is trying to buy votes by giving freebies (like subsidies on rice, pulses, salt and gas) before the elections. Congress has called this not a concern for the poor but an election trick of BJP.
Allegations of selling tickets in Assam
Apart from this, Congress has accused BJP of selling tickets in Assam. The party has said that BJP is misusing power and looting the people and worsening the financial condition of Assam.
