How did actor Mustafa Ahmed, who played the role of ‘Rizwan’ in Dhurandhar 2, lose 8kg weight?

Movie Dhurandhar 2 Mustafa Ahmed, who played the powerful character of ‘Rizwan’, is in the headlines these days for his tremendous body transformation. First increased weight by five kilos

In an interview given to NDTV, Mustafa Ahmed told that at the beginning of the film, his weight was around 80-81 kg, but to make the character Rizwan Shah look strong and powerful, he had to increase his weight to 85-86 kg.

  • For this he took a diet of 3000 to 3500 calories daily. The special thing was that his aim was not just to increase weight, but to make his body so strong that he could look like a trained fighter on the screen.
  • For this he did heavy workouts in the gym. Specially focused on dumbbell and barbell exercises. Besides, he also took training like using weapons and being a soldier, due to which his body became not only heavy but also functionally fit.

How to lose 8 kg weight?

According to the story, in the second part of the film, he had to play the role of a cadet, for which he had to lose weight rapidly. The actor told that he lost his weight directly from 86 kg to 78 kg, which was the lowest for him in the last 20-25 years.

  • To lose weight, he reduced his diet to about 1800 calories and ran 7 to 10 kilometers every other day.
  • He used to run about 30 to 40 kilometers in a week. Also, he paid more attention to body-weight exercises and almost stopped lifting heavy weights.

What was the diet for weight gain and loss?

During weight gain, Mustafa used to take 200 to 240 grams of protein daily, whereas during weight loss, this quantity reduced to 80 to 120 grams. The actor also clarified that he did not starve himself, but lost weight by smartly balancing diet and exercise.
