How does a mobile screen work?

Below this is a thin liquid crystal layer, which displays images or videos based on electrical waves. These liquid crystals make everything on your phone’s screen come alive.

Inside the screen, there is not just glass and pixels, but a special kind of liquid is filled which is called ‘Twisted Nematic Liquid Crystal’. This liquid has the ability to rotate and polarize light. For this reason, videos and photos appear very crisp and clear on your phone.
