How Is Nissan Gravite Different From The Renault Triber It Is Based On? Explained
Nissan has started a new chapter in the Indian market, and as part of this new strategy, the Japanese brand had promised to launch two new models in the Indian market. One of them is the Tekton, which is a mid-size SUV, and the other one is an MPV. The official launch of the MPV, which will be called the Gravite, is scheduled to happen later this month. The official launch date for Nissan Gravite is 17 February 2026. We already know that the upcoming Nissan Gravite is based on the same platform as the Renault Triber. In this article, we are discussing how the Gravite will be different from the Triber based on the information that is currently available online.
Exterior
Nissan has been working on the Gravite MPV for quite some time, and from the recent teaser images, we have an idea of how the MPV would look. While the overall silhouette of the Gravite is similar to the Triber, Nissan has added its own touch to the design to make it stand out.
The front grille is the first thing you would notice on the Gravite. The Triber gets a thick gloss black-finished grille with vertical elements in it. In the Nissan Gravite, the front grille is bigger and looks inspired by the V-Motion grille seen on other Nissan models. The grille has hexagonal patterns in it, and it is finished in gloss black.
The headlamp design in the Gravite is similar to the Triber, but we see a chrome garnish that runs across the width of the vehicle to give it a premium look. Next is the bumper. The Gravite gets a muscular-looking bumper with C-shaped silver elements that meet the faux skid plate. The lower air dam is finished in black for a clean and aggressive look.
The fog lamps are expected to be integrated into the lower part of the bumper. In the Renault Triber, these silver elements are missing, and instead, we get a large D-shaped faux skid plate.

Coming to the side profile, the Nissan Gravite comes with gunmetal grey wheel covers. These are flex wheels, which actually look like alloys but are nothing more than clean-looking wheel caps. The wheel design on the Triber is different from the one on the Gravite.

As we move to the rear, the design remains more or less the same as the Triber. However, we expect minor revisions to the bumper design, which would give the Gravite a different look.
Interior
The cabin layout of the Nissan Gravite is more or less going to be the same as the Triber. Nissan might try to offer the cabin in a different shade to give it a fresh look. Apart from that, the Gravite MPV will continue to offer the same 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface on the screen is going to be similar to what we saw in the Magnite SUV.

The Renault Triber offers the same screen, but the interface is different. The instrument cluster on the Nissan Gravite is going to be fully digital and will be borrowed from the Nissan Magnite, which is available in our market.
Both the Nissan Gravite and the Renault Triber offer dual-tone white and black fabric upholstery, and the third row in both these models will be flexible. This means it can be easily removed by the customer when not in use or when more boot space is required.
Engine
Both the Renault Triber and the Nissan Gravite are mechanically similar. They will offer the same safety features, including six airbags as standard across all variants. The upcoming Nissan Gravite will be powered by the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque.

The three-cylinder engine in the Nissan Gravite will be offered with a manual and AMT gearbox option. Another factor where the Nissan Gravite will differ from the Renault Triber is pricing. Nissan might price the Gravite competitively. There is a possibility that they might launch the Gravite at a starting price lower than that of the Renault Triber.
