After a historic gold-medal performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Team USA figure skater Amber Glenn is making waves off the ice.
The 26-year-old star recently went viral for a “Strong is Beautiful” video on TikTok and Instagram, where she proudly displayed her powerful, muscular physique to challenge traditional beauty standards in her sport.
Glenn, who helped secure Team USA’s gold in the figure skating team event on February 8, used her platform to send a message of inclusivity.
In her post, she wrote, “Reminder during the Olympics that athletes come in all shape & sizes #strongisbeautiful.”
The video is a personal victory for Glenn, who previously struggled with body image. She revealed that as a young skater, she was told to “tone it down because it wasn’t graceful.”
Her mother, Cathlene Glenn, noted that Amber used to wear long sleeves to hide her muscle definition “out of fear that she was gonna be judged as being too masculine.”
Today, Glenn is unapologetic about her strength. “I’m not trying to be lady-like,” she stated. “I’m trying to enjoy my sport.”
Despite facing recent online “hate and threats”, Glenn remains a champion for authenticity, proving that power and grace can coexist on the world stage.
