What is Google Photos Locked Folder?

Locked Folder is a secure space inside Google Photos where photos and videos stored are not visible in the main gallery. To view these, the screen lock of the phone is necessary.

Files stored in this folder:

Photos do not appear in the grid
Doesn’t appear in Search, Album, or Memories
Cannot be accessed by any other app

In which devices is the Locked Folder feature available?

This feature was introduced for Pixel 3 and subsequent Pixel smartphones. It was later announced to be made available for other Android devices and iOS users as well.

How to set up a locked folder in Google Photos

If you have a supported device, follow the steps below:

step 1: Open the Google Photos app on your phone.

After this you can move your personal photos and videos to the Locked Folder.
