How to maintain eye health? Follow these easy tips
In today’s digital era, excessive use of mobile, laptop and TV is harming the health of the eyes. Problems like eye irritation, dryness, blurred vision and headache have become common. If care is not taken in time, the risk of vision loss may increase in the future. In such a situation, eyes can be kept healthy for a long time by adopting some good daily habits.
1. Reduce screen time
Constantly looking at mobile or laptop puts more strain on the eyes.
- Look away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes
- rest your eyes between work
- Do not keep the screen brightness too high
2. Take right diet for eyes
Nutrition is very important to maintain eyesight.
Include in your diet:
- Carrots, Spinach, Broccoli
- Amla and orange
- Almonds and Walnuts

Vitamin A, C and Omega-3 present in them are beneficial for the eyes.
3. Get enough sleep
Lack of sleep can cause fatigue, swelling and redness in the eyes.
- Get 7–8 hours of sleep every day
- Avoid looking at mobile before sleeping
4. Keep eyes clean
Touching eyes with dirty fingers can cause infection.
- Do not rub your eyes again and again
- Wash face and eyes with clean water after coming from outside.
