Material

Ripe mango pulp – 2 cups
Semolina – 1 cup
Ghee – ½ cup
Sugar – ¾ cup
Milk – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Cashews and almonds – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Raisins – 1 tablespoon

Method

1-First of all, peel the mango, take out its pulp and prepare a smooth puree by grinding it in a mixer.
2-Heat ghee in a pan and add semolina and fry on low flame until it turns golden. Now add milk to it and keep stirring continuously so that lumps do not form.
3- When the semolina absorbs the milk, add mango puree and sugar and mix well. Cook the mixture on medium flame while stirring continuously.
4- When the pudding thickens and starts leaving the pan, add cardamom powder. Heat some ghee in a separate pan and fry cashew nuts, almonds and raisins.
5- Mix them in the halwa and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Turn off the gas and serve hot or slightly cooled.

tips

1-You can also add some threads of saffron for more taste.
2-Using sweet mangoes like Alphonso or Dussehri makes halwa more delicious.
3-It can also be served as dessert by cooling it in the refrigerator.
