How to make Masala Khakhra

Method of preparing dough
To make Masala Khakhra, first add wheat flour and gram flour in a big bowl. After this add red chilli powder, turmeric, celery, cumin, Kasuri fenugreek and salt. Now add some oil to it and mix everything well.

After this, knead a stiff dough by gradually adding water. Keep in mind that the dough should not be too soft, because only slightly hard dough is suitable for making Khakhra. After kneading the dough, keep it covered for 10-15 minutes.

Khakhra rolling method
Now make small balls from the prepared dough. Take a ball and roll it thin like a chapatti. Try that the thinner the roti, the crispier the khakhra will become.

If you want, you can also apply a little dry flour while rolling so that the roti does not stick. Similarly, prepare all the balls by rolling them thinly.

Method of baking Khakhra
Now heat the pan on gas and place the rolled roti on it. Roast it on low to medium flame. When the roti starts getting lightly cooked, cook it from both the sides by pressing lightly with the help of a cloth or spatula.

Cook it while pressing continuously until it becomes completely crisp and light brown. Similarly, prepare the rest of the khakhras also. After cooling, they can be stored in an airtight container.

method of serving
You can serve Masala Khakhra with evening tea, coffee or curd. If you wish, you can also serve green chutney, pickle or tomato chutney with it. Apart from being light, this snack is also considered quite healthy.
