For this recipe, you will need 2 cups of wheat flour, one teaspoon salt, 4 boiled potatoes, one finely chopped onion, one teaspoon chopped green chilli, half teaspoon turmeric powder, one teaspoon cumin powder, one teaspoon red chilli powder, one teaspoon coriander powder, one teaspoon garam masala, one tablespoon green coriander, one teaspoon dry mango powder and salt.
First step- First of all you have to knead the flour well. After this you have to boil the potatoes.
Second step- Now peel and mash the boiled potatoes. Keep in mind that the potatoes should not be left to cool for too long; only when the potatoes are slightly warm, they should be peeled and mashed.
Third step- In a bowl, take mashed potatoes, green chillies, onion, coriander leaves, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
Fourth step- Now you have to mix all these things together well. Masala for potato paratha is ready.
Fifth step- Make a ball from the dough and roll it, then apply oil on it and sprinkle some salt and red chilli powder on top.
Sixth step- Now you have to fill the potato masala in the paratha. Apply a little dry flour to the paratha and roll it gently once again.
Seventh step- Heat the pan and apply some oil or ghee in it. You have to fry the potato paratha from both the sides until its color becomes golden.
Eighth step- Keep pressing the potato paratha from time to time so that the paratha gets cooked properly. Enjoy hot Punjabi Dhaba style potato parathas with tea.
