How to make sweet and sour poha
Sweet and sour poha is very tasty and is liked a lot. To prepare this, first put the poha in a sieve and wash it with light water. Keep in mind not to keep it soaked in water for too long, otherwise it will become sticky. After washing, keep it aside for 5 minutes so that it becomes slightly soft.
Now heat oil in a pan on medium flame. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds start crackling, add cumin seeds and curry leaves. After this, add chopped onion and green chilli and fry until it turns light pink. Now add peanuts in it and stir for 1-2 minutes so that a light crunch remains.
Now add turmeric, salt and sugar. Adding sugar will give slight sweetness to the poha which is the hallmark of restaurant style taste. After this, put the soaked poha in the pan and mix gently.
Cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Just before turning off the gas, add lemon juice and mix well. This balance of lemon and sugar gives the perfect sour-sweet flavor to Poha. Take out the prepared poha in a serving plate. Garnish with green coriander, pomegranate seeds and sev.
