How to make Shahi Paneer
It is easy to make hotel-like Shahi Paneer at home. For this, first of all heat oil or ghee in the pan. Add finely chopped onion to it and fry until it turns golden. Now add ginger-garlic paste and stir for a few seconds.
After this add tomato puree and add spices turmeric, red chilli and coriander powder. Cook the spices until oil starts separating.
Now add cashew paste and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. This will make the gravy thick and rich. If necessary, prepare the desired consistency by adding some water.
When the gravy is cooked well, add paneer pieces to it. Stir gently so that the cheese does not break. Now add salt and garam masala. Cover and let it cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes, so that the paneer absorbs the flavor of the spices properly.
Finally add fresh cream and Kasuri methi and mix gently. Switch off the gas and garnish with green coriander. If you want, you can also add some butter, this will enhance the taste even more. Serve Shahi Paneer hot with naan, tandoori roti or jeera rice.
