material to make

Sesame – 250 grams (roasted)
Jaggery- 150 grams
Water- 1 cup
Corn syrup- 2 spoons
Cardamom powder- 2 teaspoons
Kewra – 1 spoon
Ghee- 1 teaspoon

method of making

To make Revdi, first clean the sesame seeds. After this wash it with water and keep it in sunlight.
After this, cut the jaggery into pieces and keep it aside. So that syrup can be made easily.
Then heat a pan on the gas and when the sesame seeds dry, add them to the pan and fry them well for 3-4 minutes.
Now after 5 minutes, take it out in a plate and leave it to cool completely.
Then add jaggery pieces and water in the same bowl and boil well.
While making the syrup, keep in mind that the syrup should be well prepared. Because if the syrup is not prepared properly then the rewari will break.
Now add one tablespoon ghee in it and boil until the jaggery becomes hard.
Then add cardamom powder and baking soda, mix well and then add sesame seeds and keep stirring continuously.
After this, when the mixture of sesame and jaggery becomes thick, turn off the gas.
Then keep this mixture to cool, but we do not have to cool it completely.
Now take out small rewari-like pieces from this mixture and shape them into the shape of your choice.
Then after shaping the Revdi, keep it aside to cool.
Now your jaggery rewari is ready, you can store it for many days.
