Tofu Tikka Masala: Make hotel style tofu tikka masala at home, everyone will like the tasty snack

When tofu is mixed with Indian spices, its taste becomes even more enhanced. The hotel-like gravy and aroma of spices make it a perfect lunch or dinner dish. Let us know the easy way to make Tofu Tikka Masala.

  • Tofu – 250 grams (cut into cubes)
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato Puree – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Cream – 2 spoons
  • Oil or butter – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Green Coriander – to garnish

Tofu Tikka Masala Recipe

First of all, prepare to marinate the tofu pieces. Add curd, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl and mix well. Now add tofu cubes in it and coat it gently, so that the masala applies properly to each piece. Keep it for at least 20-30 minutes, so that the flavor gets absorbed into the tofu properly.

Now heat some oil in a pan and fry the marinated tofu until it turns light golden. This improves the texture of tofu and also increases its taste. After baking, keep the tofu aside.

Now to prepare the gravy, add some more oil in the same pan and add finely chopped onion and fry till it turns golden. After this add tomato puree to it and cook well with spices. When the masala starts releasing oil, add coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.

Now add fried tofu to the prepared gravy and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, so that the flavor of the gravy gets absorbed well in the tofu. Finally add cream to it and mix lightly. Garnish by adding green coriander on top. Your delicious tofu tikka masala is ready, which you can serve with roti, naan or rice.
