Don’t let exam pressure fall on children, keep them relaxed in these ways

Experts believe that instead of scolding or scaring children during exams, it is more important to understand and support them. If the right environment and right method is adopted, then children can not only prepare better but can also stay away from stress during the exam.

Make a balanced study time table
Instead of forcing children to study continuously, create a balanced time table for them. Along with studies, also decide on time for breaks and rest. With this, children will not feel tired and their focus will also remain.

talk openly to children
At the time of exams, many children are not able to talk openly about their fears and worries. In such a situation, parents should talk to their children and understand their problems. When children feel understood, their stress reduces significantly.

Adequate sleep and proper diet
During exam preparation, many children study till late night, due to which they do not get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can affect memory and concentration. Therefore, encourage children to take at least 7-8 hours of sleep and give them nutritious food.

Do light activities between studies
Continuous studying can tire the brain. Therefore, in between studies, ask children to do light activities like walking, stretching or playing a small game. This will keep their mood fresh and they will be interested in studies also.

Focus on hard work instead of results
Parents should explain to their children that exam results are not everything. If the child is working hard, praise him. This increases the child’s confidence and he is able to prepare without fear.
