It is very fun to play with the colors of Holi, but these colors do not wash off quickly. Many times, chemical colors sink deep into the skin, which can cause irritation, dryness and rashes. By adopting some easy home hacks, you can remove color from skin and hair without much effort. The special thing is that these remedies are natural, which will not cause any harm to the skin and hair.

How to remove Holi colors?

You can use oil to remove color from the skin. Coconut, olive oil and almond oil will be effective. Just after playing Holi, massage the body thoroughly with oil before taking bath.
You can use the pack to remove color from face and body. Make a paste by mixing milk and a pinch of turmeric in gram flour. Apply it on the skin and rub it gently. Along with removing color, it also exfoliates the skin.
Multani mitti and rose water are also effective remedies to remove color. Just mix both and apply it on the body and wash it after it dries half. It helps in removing both extra oil and color from the skin.
To get rid of stubborn Holi colors, apply lemon juice mixed with honey. Keep in mind, if the skin is cracked or very sensitive then do not use it.
To remove color from hair, apply a mixture of curd and lemon on the scalp and leave it for 20-45 minutes. Then wash with mild, sulphate-free shampoo.
Grind soaked fenugreek and mix it with curd and lemon. It deeply cleanses the hair.
Keep in mind that after playing Holi, first wash the skin with cold water. This will prevent the color from absorbing further.
Do not bathe with hot water, as warm water can lock the color in the skin, so do not use it in the beginning.
Rubbing the skin vigorously to remove color can increase irritation and redness. Always clean with gentle hands.
