Dr. Arpit Gupta has told the right way to dress children in the winter season. Let us know what are these baby winter care tips.
Baby Winter Care Tips-
The first layer of clothes should be cotton-
To protect your baby from cold, whenever you dress him, always keep the first layer of clothes made of cotton cloth. By doing this, if the first cloth that touches the child’s skin is cotton, then the child will not be at risk of skin rashes. This is because the first layer of cloth is the cloth which touches the baby’s skin. In such a situation, if the cloth is woolen then rashes may occur on the child’s skin.
How many layers of warm clothing should one have?
This question troubles most parents as to how much warm clothes it is appropriate to dress their child to protect him from cold. If you also want to know the answer to the question that how many layers of warm clothes should be worn by the child to keep him safe from cold and also to maintain his comfort, then Dr. Arpit Gupta gives the answer by saying that the child should always wear one layer more than the number of layers of warm clothes a mother has worn to protect herself from cold.
How to know that the child is not and needs to wear warm clothes?-
If you want to find out whether your baby is feeling cold in the warm clothes he is wearing or whether he needs to wear more clothes to protect himself from the cold, then the method is very easy. Parents should check by touching the child’s feet or hands. If the baby’s palms and soles are cooler than his stomach, it means he is cold and you can dress him in layers of clothes.
