I have spoken on phone twice to the heads of state of most of the West Asian countries. Everyone has assured the safety of Indians. Some people have lost their lives and some have been injured during the conflict.

What is India doing to stop the tension in West Asia?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I have appealed to all parties to reduce tension. India condemns the attacks on civilians, energy infrastructure and transport. Such attacks are not acceptable. I have appealed to everyone to reduce tension. India has been appealing for a ban on international waterways. India has always been raising its voice in the interest of humanity and in favor of peace. Efforts can be made to find a way out only through dialogue and diplomacy.

A big question is what effect the war will have on farming. The farmers of the country have filled our grain stores, so India has enough food grains. It is also our endeavor to ensure proper sowing of Kharif season. In the past years, the government has also made adequate arrangements for fertilizers to deal with emergency situations.

What is the government doing for the safety of farmers?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Such steps have been taken to save the country’s farmers from crisis. India is producing more than 76 lakh metric tons of urea. Like oil and gas, India has also increased the import of fertilizers. The government has also given the option of made in nano urea. The government is also motivating farmers for the natural scheme. More than 22 lakh solar pumps have been given to farmers. Their dependence on diesel has reduced. I assure the farmers of the country that the government will continue to provide all possible help to the farmers.

In this time of crisis, the country has another preparation which is very useful. In the last 11 years, unprecedented work has been done on the production and branding of ethanol.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Till a decade ago, there was only one to one and a half percent ethanol blending capacity in the country. Today we are getting closer to 20 percent ethanol banding in petrol. Due to this, about 4.5 crore barrels less oil has to be imported every year.
