‘HPV Vaccination Campaign’ launched from Rajasthan, girls aged 9 to 14 years will get free vaccine

Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the ‘HPV Vaccination Campaign’ from the holy land of Rajasthan. Under this campaign, girls aged 9 to 14 years will be given free vaccines for the prevention of cervical cancer.
Describing this initiative as a historic step towards women’s health and empowerment, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that this campaign will provide protection to the daughters of the state from serious diseases. He said that the state government will effectively implement this campaign in collaboration with the Centre, so that its benefits reach maximum beneficiaries.
According to experts, HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infection is the main cause of cervical cancer. This disease can be prevented by timely vaccination. This campaign is being considered an important initiative towards the health protection and secure future of girls.
