Hrithik Roshan’s younger son Hridhaan, 17, jets off to US to study filmmaking; fans call it ‘predictable’

Heartthrob of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan is monikered as a Greek god by fans. Known for his chiselled physique and green eyes, the actor, even at 50, leaves fans gushing over his looks. His on-screen charisma still lights up theatres, and fans flock to watch him on screen. The ever-charming actor’s genes have very well passed on to his sons.

The internet, ever since spotting his sons at parties and get-togethers, has often praised the boys for their looks. Fans also wish to see Hrithik’s sons in Bollywood as actors, as both of them are good-looking.

However, Hrithik has never spoken about what his sons want to pursue. Hrithik’s younger son, Hridhaan Roshan, 17 years old, wants to be a filmmaker. Needless to say, he comes from a filmy family; his grandfather, Rakesh Roshan, is an ace director, and it looks like he will follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.

Hridhaan has enrolled at the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) in the United States to study filmmaking. The official Instagram account of the school, American School of Bombay, congratulated Hridhaan on his new academic journey.

The post featured a photograph of Hridhaan alongside the USC logo. “It’s no surprise to us that we’ll see Hridhaan at USC studying film and TV production! Congratulations, Hridhaan, we are so proud,” read the caption.

Soon after the announcement, friends and family members flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.

Among them was cousin Fiza Ali, daughter of Farah Khan Ali, who wrote, “Yay Hridu!”

However, many netizens trolled Hrithik and his son, claiming nepotism and easy access to prestigious colleges. Some wrote that he comes from a privileged background, so it’s easier for him to get opportunities.

Recently, Hrithik celebrated his son’s birthday and shared a reel on Instagram wishing him.

Hridhaan is the younger son of Hrithik Roshan and his former wife Sussanne Khan. The former couple also share an elder son, Hrehaan Roshan.

Hrithik and Sussanne, veteran actor Sanjay Khan’s daughter, were married from 2000 until their separation in 2014, but they have continued to maintain an amicable relationship while co-parenting their children. During the pandemic in 2020, Sussanne temporarily moved in with Hrithik so they could jointly take care of their sons.

Sussanne is dating TV actor Aly Goni’s brother, Arslan Goni, while Hrithik is dating Saba Azad.

Work Front

Hrithik’s last film was War 2, part of the YRF spy universe and also starring Jr NTR, which received a lukewarm response at the box office despite its massive scale.

Hrithik is currently gearing up to direct and star in the next installment of the superhero franchise, Krrish 4, marking his directorial debut.
