Massive fire in firecracker shop in Abids area of Hyderabad, rescue work underway, watch video
Hyderabad : On Sunday, October 27, a massive fire broke out in a firecracker shop in Abids area of Hyderabad city, causing panic in the surrounding area. Several fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot to control the fire.
Eyewitnesses said that the fire spread rapidly due to the storage of firecrackers. The flames were so strong that other nearby shops and buildings were also in danger. The people present at the spot immediately informed the police and fire service.

The fire brigade took immediate action in an attempt to extinguish the fire and after about an hour of hard work the fire was brought under control. Officials said that due to the fire, several firecrackers exploded, making the situation more serious. Smoke and horrific sounds were heard in the surrounding area, causing people to panic.

Shankar, ACP Sultan Bazaar, said, “The fire was extinguished around 10.30-10.45 pm. This is a restaurant which has completely burnt down. 7-8 cars have been burnt. A woman has suffered minor injuries… The name of the firecracker shop is Paras Fireworks… The shop does not have any certificate. This was an illegal shop. We will take action against them. The restaurant has been damaged… The fire broke out in the shop and had an impact on the surrounding area… The fire has been extinguished. Had this been a residential area, there could have been much more damage…”

The administration has appealed to the people to be cautious in the use of firecrackers and buy firecrackers only at safe places. In view of the increasing threat of such incidents in the Abids area, authorities have planned to implement necessary security measures.
