Indigenous datasets that reflect Indian realities

Sovereign compute capacity to avoid strategic dependence

Foundational models aligned with local languages, governance needs, and social contexts

Data trusteeship frameworks that balance innovation with dignity

If India does not define its AI stack, it will inherit someone else’s worldview embedded silently in algorithms, defaults, and design assumptions. In the AI era, technological dependence quickly becomes epistemic dependence.

One of the most overlooked dimensions in AI discourse is nature itself. Biological systems operate with principles that modern AI routinely violates energy efficiency, circularity, equilibrium, and long-term resilience. Today’s AI models are extractive, resource-intensive, and linear, optimized for performance rather than sustainability.

Reclaiming Nature’s Intelligence does not mean romantic regression. It signals a future shift toward:

Bio-inspired computation

Energy-aware model architectures

AI constrained by ecological and planetary boundaries

As climate stress and resource scarcity intensify, AI systems that ignore natural intelligence will become strategically untenable. Sustainability will move from ethical preference to operational necessity.

Beyond Fear: Artificial Superintelligence and the Question of Agency

Concerns around Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) often focus on job displacement or human redundancy. These fears, while understandable, miss the deeper risk. The true danger is not that machines replace humans but that humans cede agency to systems they no longer understand or control.

ASI will not eliminate humanity. It will compress decision timelines, amplify asymmetries, and reward those who control objectives rather than execution.
