Patna: A sensational incident of brutality has come to light in a deserted dilapidated building near the Irrigation Colony located in the Nagar police station area of the district headquarters. A woman of Nepali origin living with her husband and children was gang-raped by three people. Taking prompt action, the police have arrested the two main accused involved in the case.
Children were made to sit in e-rickshaw on the pretext of taking them for a ride.
The incident took place on July 21 at around 5 pm. The victim was standing outside her house when a 15-year-old teenager from her locality reached there. He tricked the woman and her children into taking her on an e-rickshaw. The woman fell into the trap and boarded the Toto with her children. Two other youths, Abhishek Kumar and Jeetu alias Pali, were already present in Toto. The accused first took the Toto towards the bypass and then took it around the city to an old dilapidated building located near the fish market near the irrigation colony.
Handed mobile phone to child and then brutalized him
As soon as they reached the dilapidated building, the three accused assaulted the woman and took turns forcibly having physical relations with her. During the brutality, to suppress the voices of the woman’s children, the accused handed them their mobile phones so that they remain silent. After committing the crime, the accused ran away leaving the victim in a delirious state near the water tank. While running away, he handed only Rs 100 into the woman’s hand.
Husband runs the family by selling tea
The victim of Nepali origin had got married for the second time only three years ago to a man from Aurangabad. Her husband’s first wife has died and she has four children from that marriage. The woman’s husband sells tea. The woman told the police that she already knew the minor accused, so she had no idea that such cruelty would happen to her.

As soon as information about the incident was received, a special team was formed under the leadership of city police station incharge Baban Baitha. While conducting the raid, the police caught the two main accused Rakesh Kumar, resident of Mahua Shaheed Mohalla and Abhishek Kumar, resident of Shankar Bigha, Nawada. The third minor accused has also been arrested.
Victim’s statement recorded
City police station incharge said that an FIR has been registered based on the statement of the victim. Medical examination of the woman has been done and the process of recording her statement under section 164 in the court is being completed. Both the adult accused arrested are being sent to jail, while the minor will be sent to a juvenile home. The police administration has made it clear that by running this case under speedy trial, the accused will be given strict punishment as soon as possible.
