Meanwhile, Indian Railways is going to start a new initiative. This initiative will benefit not only the passengers but also the railway employees. Actually, the Railway Department is preparing to deploy robots at some major stations of the country. These robots will work from giving information to controlling the huge crowd at the stations and keeping an eye on all the activities.

It is often seen that due to large crowd of passengers at railway stations during festivals and special occasions, a chaotic environment is created, which is challenging for the employees to control. With this initiative of the department, rail travel will become even better and easier than before.

Why is it important to introduce humanoid robots?

If a passenger forgets the platform or gets lost, these robots will help them. Apart from this, if needed, they will also be able to send an alert to the security team of the station. With this initiative, passengers will get better facilities and the security system of Railways will also be stronger than before.

How will humanoid robots help?

  • According to the Railways, these humanoid robots are being prepared in such a way that they can provide immediate information to the passengers coming to the stations without any delay.
  • At stations, passengers often do not get correct information about the platform, train timings or other parts of the station, due to which they face difficulty in reaching their destination.
  • In such a situation, these robots will talk to the passengers directly in their own language and give them all the necessary information.
  • A special thing about these robots is that they can talk in many languages, which will make it easier for the passengers to understand things.
  • Apart from this, these robots will also work to guide the passengers inside the station, to the ticket counter or waiting area.

Will help in crowd management and security

During festivals, people go to their homes, due to which there is huge crowd at the stations and it becomes difficult to control it. Now these humanoid robots, along with handling the crowd, will also keep a constant eye on the activities happening at the station. Through these robots, any kind of suspicious information can be immediately passed on to the security team. This will strengthen the security arrangements of the stations and passengers will be able to get immediate help in case of any emergency.

This new system will start at special stations

Railways has decided that new technology will now be used at the busiest stations of the country. For this, in the first phase, 20 big stations of ‘NSG Grade-1’ category have been selected, where there is huge crowd of passengers. If this experiment is successful here, then later it will be started at all other major stations of the country also.
