Hyundai SUV: Hyundai Motors has launched the updated 2026 model of its popular micro SUV Hyundai Exter in India. The starting price of this car, which gives direct competition to Tata Punch, is Rs 5.80 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant goes up to Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom).

What’s new in the exterior?
To make the design of 2026 Exter more attractive, a new grill with dark finish has been given in the front, which gives it a bolder look. Apart from this, new 15-inch alloy wheels, updated spoiler at the rear and tailgate design give it fresh appeal. With a height of 1,643 mm, Hyundai claims it is one of the tallest cars in its segment, giving a spacious feeling in the cabin.

new color options
The new Exter is now available in 7 single and 1 dual-tone color options. New colors like Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte have been added to it. Apart from this, options like Titan Grey, Atlas White, Starry Night and Ranger Khaki are also available.

Interior and Comfort
The interior gets a new 3D carbon pattern dashboard with navy and gray theme. The D-cut steering wheel, 3D finish and metal pedals give it a premium feel. The armrest for long drives and the boot space of 391 liters have also been retained.

It has features like company-fitted dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear Type-C charging port and more than 300 voice commands. Also, Hyundai’s Bluelink connected system allows controlling more than 60 smart features.

Engine and powertrain
The new Exter has a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, in which both MT and AMT options are available. Apart from this, CNG variant is also available, which is suitable for better mileage. Overall, the new Exeter makes a strong contender in the micro-SUV segment with its innovative design, advanced features and affordable pricing.
