Hyundai Motor India sales increase by 2% year-on-year

DELHI Delhi: Hyundai Motor India has reported that the company has registered a growth of 2 percent in total sales. Hyundai Motor India recorded total sales of 70,078 units in October. The company recorded sales of 68,728 units in October 2023. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, HMIL, said, “We witnessed strong demand for our SUV portfolio during the festive period, leading to our highest ever monthly SUV sales at 37,902 units, with the Hyundai Creta at its highest ever monthly sales. Domestic sales comprised 17,497 units.” He said SUVs remain the backbone of the company's lineup, representing 68.2 percent of total monthly sales in October 2024, with equal reach in urban and rural markets. Hyundai Motor India Domestic Sales: Hyundai Motor India's domestic sales increased marginally. The auto maker recorded total sales of 55,568 units in October 2024. The automaker registered a growth of 0.79 percent on a year-on-year basis. Hyundai registered a growth of 440 units in October 2023 compared to 55,128 units registered in the same month last year, the newly listed firm said in a regulatory filing. The SUV segment recorded sales of 37,092 units, with Creta making a major contribution.

Hyundai Motor India Exports:

Hyundai Motor India's exports jumped and registered a growth of 6.7 percent on a year-on-year basis. Hyundai Motor India recorded total exports of 14,510 units in October 2024, as against 13,600 units in October 2023.

Hyundai Motor India CNG Sales:

The alternative fuel segment, that is the CNG segment, also recorded positive momentum. Sales of CNG vehicles were recorded at 8,261 units in October 2024. CNG segment sales contributed 14.9 percent to total domestic sales in October 2024. Hyundai Motor India recently introduced dual-cylinder technology in the Exeter and Grand i10 Nios.
