Hyundai SUV: Hyundai will launch 4 new SUV! It will enter the market in the next year
Hyundai is planning a big plan to strengthen its grip on the Indian automobile market. In October last year, the company announced that it will launch 26 new cars in India by March 2030, including 7 brand new models. Under this, the company has already launched the new Venue, Verna, Exeter and Ionic 5.
Now the company is all set to launch 4 new powerful SUVs for the customers ranging from small cars to right up to the large premium car segment. In this, one model will have as many as three-row seating arrangement i.e. seating for 7 people. The details of these 4 cars are as follows,
1. Hyundai Bayon Hyundai Bayon
Features: It will be a mid-sized SUV. The current Bayon is primarily aimed at the European market, but the second generation of the car is being developed with developing markets like India in mind.
Competition: The car will be in the segment below the Hyundai Creta and will directly compete with the Maruti Victoris in the market.
Engine: With this car, Hyundai will introduce its new 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in India for the first time. Apart from this, the company can also offer a 1.0-litre turbo petrol or 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine option to keep the starting price of the car low.

2. Hyundai HE1i (codename) – new electric SUV Hyundai HE1i
Features: ‘HE1i’ is the codename for Hyundai’s upcoming micro-electric SUV. This car will directly compete with the Tata Punch EV.
Local production: Compared to the Creta Electric, the car will be largely manufactured in India, even the battery cells will be made in India. It is likely to get two battery pack options with LFP cells sourced from Exoid Energy.
Design and Launch: Its looks will be completely square like a proper SUV. It will get modern door handles and Hyundai’s famous ‘parametric pixel’ light design. This car can be launched in the first quarter of 2027.
3. The next-generation Hyundai Creta Next-gen Hyundai Creta
Features: India’s most popular SUV ‘Creta’ is now coming in a brand new avatar. This next-gen Creta will be larger in size, more aggressive and futuristic in design than the current model.
Platforms and Hybrids: The car will be based on the company’s new ‘K3’ platform. It will offer more space in the cabin and in the future it will be possible to easily fit a ‘hybrid system’ (engine + battery).
Interior: Inside, the car gets a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ‘Google in-built’. The new Creta is likely to be launched by mid-2027.

4. Hyundai NI1i (codename) – 7 seater hybrid SUV Hyundai Ni1i
Features: Codenamed ‘NI1I’, the vehicle will be Hyundai’s new three-row 7-seater SUV, which will directly compete with the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
Platforms and Engines: The car may be based on the Tucson’s larger platform. It will see a ‘hybrid powertrain’ based on a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The same engine will also be seen in the ‘Kia Sorento’ which will be made in India this year.
Launch: This premium 7-seater hybrid SUV is likely to hit the market by the end of 2027.
