“I didn’t agree at first, because of Trump’s pressure…”, targeting the US President despite signing the peace treaty
After much debate, the US-Iran peace agreement was signed on Wednesday. Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei targeted US President Donald Trump on Friday. In his first reaction after the peace deal, Trump was desperate to sign the Iran-deal. He has put all kinds of pressure on us to confirm this. I finally agreed.
Mojtaba Khamenei made the first statement after the peace agreement. He said, “Initially, I did not agree to sign the agreement according to the conditions given by America. Later, I discussed with President Masoud Pezheskian and the members of Iran’s Supreme Security Committee. They confirmed the security of the country. After that, I signed the agreement.” With this, Trump said, “The officials of both countries responsible for the agreement had sincere concern and goodwill. In addition, the US president was desperate for the signing of the peace agreement. He used all kinds of influence and strategies to implement the matter.”
Earlier, it was decided that all signings would be officially completed on Friday, June 19, in Geneva, Switzerland. Representatives of both countries were supposed to be present. But the agreement was sealed the day before. So will the Geneva program be cancelled? Nothing is clear about it yet. Tehran also did not clarify anything on this issue. However, according to a section of informed circles, digital execution of the MoU means that Switzerland’s pre-scheduled program will not take place.
The MoU was signed on 14 conditions aimed at Iran-US peace. Among them, the war will stop in the rest of the Middle East, including Iran, Lebanon.
According to a US media report, Trump signed the memorandum of understanding during a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, France, after the G7 summit on Wednesday. On the other hand, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Ismail Bagheio confirmed the agreement. He said that both the presidents of the two countries have expressed their consent and signed the draft agreement sent by the mediator Pakistan.
Hormuz was blocked after more than three and a half months of conflict. As a result, there was an energy crisis all over the world. The heat of the war had also reached India. Not only that, the wheel of world economy has become ‘sloth’ due to war. In this situation, one of the main conditions of this agreement was the opening of Hormuz. Now both the countries have signed the MoU. So it is thought that the ‘oil artery’ of the world will be opened this time.
It should be noted that the MoU has been signed on 14 conditions aimed at Iran-US peace. Among them, the war will stop in the rest of the Middle East, including Iran, Lebanon. Israel and America will guarantee that there will be no new war. America will lift the blockade from Hormuz. Iran will also open Hormuz. Sanctions on Iranian ships will be lifted. 24 million dollars confiscated from Iran will be returned. Sanctions will be lifted from Iran. Withdrawal of troops from around Iran within 30 days. And most importantly Iran will not build nuclear weapons. Discussions will continue on the future of 60 percent enriched uranium.
