‘I don’t have that much time…’ Manoj Bajpayee’s direct reply to trollers on ‘Bribery Pundit’ controversy

Recently, Manoj Bajpayee spoke openly for the first time about one of his controversial films and told how the controversy over the title of a film had created problems for him and his family.

During a conversation, Manoj Bajpayee said that he had no idea that such a big controversy would arise over the name of the film. He said that as soon as some people raised objections, the film team immediately reacted and tried to calm the matter.

According to the actor, if a creative work inadvertently hurts someone’s sentiments then there is no harm in rectifying it. He said that changing the name of the film was not a big deal for him, because there are many options in the creative process and any one title does not limit the identity of the entire film.

However, the controversy did not end here. Manoj Bajpayee told that despite apologizing and changing the title, he had to face constant trolling and criticism. People targeted him on social media and many times his family was also dragged into this controversy.

Manoj said that it hurts the most when the family is involved in an argument. Despite this, he tried to handle the whole matter with a calm mind and remained focused on his work.

The actor also expressed his opinion on the current environment of social media. He believes that nowadays people form their opinion without complete information and also share it publicly. He said that it is important to know the facts before understanding any issue, but many times people draw hasty conclusions.

Manoj Bajpayee also clarified that he prefers to stay away from unnecessary debates and controversies. According to him, it is not necessary to respond to every criticism. Sometimes it is better for a person to focus on his work and let time decide.
