“Just playing the way I have this series has been the most satisfying thing for me. I don’t think I have played at this level for a good two to three years now. Kohli admitted that there have been times when he doubted himself as a player.

Virat reflected on his six-hitting abilities and picked his best innings of the series.

“When I play freely, I know I can hit sixes. Just wanted to push my boundaries and do well. The first innings was the best of this series. I hadn’t played since Australia, just the energy on the day helps take risks. That opened me up in a way I’ve not felt in a while. Grateful for how the games have gone.”
