‘I have landed in Israel’: PM Modi begins two-day visit, to hold talks with Netanyahu and address Knesset

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Israel on a two-day official visit starting February 25, 2026. Upon arrival, he was received by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mrs. Netanyahu at the airport.

“I have landed in Israel. It is an honour to be received by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mrs. Netanyahu at the airport. I look forward to holding bilateral discussions and to fruitful outcomes that will further strengthen the friendship between India and Israel,” PM Modi said.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral talks with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu and is scheduled to address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset. He will also interact with members of the Indian diaspora in Israel.

In his departure statement, the Prime Minister described India and Israel as sharing a robust and multifaceted strategic partnership that has witnessed remarkable growth and dynamism over the years. He expressed confidence that discussions during the visit would further deepen cooperation across sectors.

Apart from his meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Mr. Modi is also scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

This marks Mr. Modi’s second visit to Israel, following his historic July 2017 trip — the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Jewish state. The current visit comes amid ongoing high-level exchanges between the two countries, underscoring the continued strategic and economic engagement between India and Israel.
