“I have not forgotten anything, everything will be accounted for!” After reaching Nandigram, CM Shubhendu Adhikari gave open warning to Mamata Banerjee
‘I have not forgotten anything, everyone will be accounted for…’ CM Shubhendu Adhikari’s loud roar from the land of Nandigram
As soon as the name of Nandigram comes into the politics of West Bengal, a different political heat is felt. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari’s relationship with Nandigram is very old and deep. History is witness to the fact that in the 2019 elections, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee had to face defeat from Nandigram. At the same time, in the 2026 assembly elections also, Shubhendu Adhikari won a landslide victory from Nandigram seat. However, this time after winning the elections from Bhawanipur also, he has left the Nandigram seat, but after becoming the Chief Minister, when he came on Sunday to thank the people of Nandigram, his attitude was worth seeing. In the thanksgiving meeting, he gave a clear message that he was the son of Nandigram and will always be so.
Along with this, he gave a strong warning to Trinamool Congress (TMC) and said that they have not forgotten anything of the past and when the time comes, full account of everything will be taken.
Assuring to always stand with the people of Nandigram, Shubhendu Adhikari said that you all can be fully assured that whatever dream you have seen about me or about us, I will repay all your debts this time. He appealed to the public to have full faith in him. Every facility and service provided from the Chief Minister’s Office will reach the public directly. He said emotionally that you will always see me the same way you have seen me before, there will be no change in me even after becoming the Chief Minister.
Recalling his old days, the Chief Minister said that whether it is difficult days, storm, torrential rain, severe cold or dense fog, I will stand with you in every situation. Referring to historical dates and places like Bhangwera on the morning of 7th January, Gokulnagar Adhikari Palli and Sonachura on the morning of 14th March, he said that if I do not face any major problem, then like before, I will reach you in every happiness and sorrow.
CM Shubhendu targets Mamata Banerjee, counts victory figures
Speaking from the stage, Subhendu Adhikari made it clear that every possible step will be taken for the development of Nandigram. During this, he directly and sharply targeted Mamata Banerjee. Shubhendu said that she had come to defeat me in Nandigram, but the people here taught her such a lesson that she returned back to the pavilion after losing. While sharing an inside story, he said that this time my party had asked me whether you would go to her (Mamata’s) neighborhood and contest the elections? I immediately said yes. I fought there in Bhawanipur and defeated him in his own stronghold by 15,105 votes.
The Chief Minister did not stop here, citing statistics he said that I not only defeated him, but also defeated him at four booths where honorable women themselves vote, like Mitra Institution. Not only in his personal booth, but also in ward number 82 of his powerful minister Firhad Hakim, I got a huge lead of 14,000 votes. Assuring the people of Nandigram, he said that even though I have to give up a seat as per the rules of the Constitution, I will always be with you. You don’t need to worry or maintain distance at all. Your Shubhendu was, is and will be with you in future also.
Big promise of revival and development of Bengal
Lashing out at the previous governments of the state, Shubhendu Adhikari said that the 34-year-old Left government and the 15-year-old Trinamool government ruined Bengal. Now this state has to be rebuilt again with the help, blessings and cooperation of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today the people of Bengal are dreaming big. Only two weeks have passed since our government was formed and we have started the work. You will see even bigger changes in the coming days. He said that there is no difference between the words and actions of BJP, we do what we say. Our only aim is to bring the state out of this plight.
Talking about the issue of employment and security, the Chief Minister said that today the educated youth of Bengal want employment, new industries are needed in the state, farmers should get the right price for their crops and women should get complete security. People want government schools and colleges to become modern, good facilities in hospitals, clean drinking water, electricity, excellent roads and strong bridges. Today’s people want Bengal to emerge in a new shape in this era of speed. People want that real democracy should come in the state and the police should work on the principle of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and not as a cadre of any party. He also said that people want Indians to stay in Bengal and non-Indians to leave Bengal, we will definitely complete this task.
Gave warning to those committing atrocities, said – each one will be held accountable
Shubhendu Adhikari also strongly raised the issue of illegal arrests of BJP workers and false cases filed against them during the tenure of the Trinamool government. He said in clear words that there will definitely be a reckoning, but no one should take the law into their own hands. Goons are still hiding in their homes. If you want, you can hit them brick by brick, but BJP’s values are not like this and we will not do so.
He warned the criminals and said that the real place for such goons would be only the jail bars. I will not leave any one out nor forget anything. All of you remain worry free and have full faith in me. Everyone will be accounted for, friend, everyone will be accounted for, just keep watching.
