In a video released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Bumrah said, “I am not one to stay behind the scenes. I always want to play an active role in the game. I have loved challenges since the beginning and love taking responsibility in times of pressure.”

At the same time, Bumrah was chosen man of the match for his excellent performance in the final. He said that he has always played cricket with the sole aim of making a difference for the team at important times.
