‘I used to pray that death would come…’, the famous actress expressed her pain after coming out of Tihar Jail; tears did not stop
Actor-influencer-cosmetologist Sandeepa Virk is once again in the news. Last year, he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case of about Rs 6 crore. After spending more than four months in Tihar Jail, he got bail from the Delhi High Court. Now in an interview, Sandeepa has made many emotional revelations while remembering those difficult days of jail.
‘Even the enemy should not get a place like Tihar’
In a recent interview, Sandeepa recalled her time spent in Tihar Jail and said that she would not want to send even her enemy to such a place. She told that she often questioned God and herself as to what she had done to deserve the punishment. Calling it the result of her actions, she said that she was completely mentally broken.

‘I prayed for death’
Describing the most emotional moment, Sandeepa said that when her parents came to meet her in jail, she could not control herself. In her words, “I used to pray that death would come and take me away. The worst feeling is when your parents meet you inside the jail. I also apologized to them that they had to come there because of me.” He said that his parents and siblings stood by him in every difficulty.
Prison life: mental and physical effects
Sandeepa described the prison conditions as extremely exhausting, both mentally and physically. He says that the conditions there had a deep impact on his health. He told that the prisoners have to sleep on the floor, the condition of washrooms is bad and the food is very bad. He also said that some policewomen were sympathetic, while others took out their anger on the prisoners.
Industry changed its attitude
Sandeepa also revealed that many relationships in the industry changed after her arrest. He said, “People unfollowed me, but it doesn’t matter to me. Earlier too, some big producers used to say that they can make me. My answer used to be – the one who has made you, will make me too. No one can make anyone, he can help as much as he can.” According to IMDb profile, Sandeepa Virk has been seen in web series like ‘Honey Trap Squad’ and films like ‘Mankatha’ and ‘Shikar’. Now after getting bail, Sandeepa is preparing to start her career and life afresh.
