I was born with two vaginas — you won’t believe the disgusting things I’ve heard while dating

A woman born with two vaginas has revealed the disgusting behavior she faces on dating apps.

Annie Charlotte, 26, discovered she had uterus didelphys when she was 16.

The uterus develops as two ducts which generally combine to form a single uterus. However, in those with the condition, the ducts do not combine and two uteruses develop. In some cases, two cervixes and two vaginal canals can also be created.

Theoretically, it means she can become pregnant in both reproductive systems at the same time.

But Charlotte has revealed there has been a sad side of opening up about her condition.

“Now I’m on a lot of dating apps and people will be like ‘you’re the two p****s girl’,” she told news.com.au.

She said she gets a lot of questions and it often turns explicit. Men ask if she’s “had two at a time”. When she says that she hasn’t, the men quickly offer to “sort her out.”

She’s rarely asked questions about who she is as a person, Charlotte said.

She recalled one specific encounter with a high-profile man she’d been dating. She said things had been going well. Then, after a few drinks, he’d come over with his friend.

“Next minute, he said he’d been thinking he and his mate ‘wanted to be tunnel buddies in separate vaginas’,” Annie recalled.

Charlotte felt like he’d thought about it and rehearsed the speech. Annie was taken aback. Eventually, she entertained the idea. However, circumstances at the time meant the man’s goal couldn’t happen.

In another circumstance she had a man rock up to a date with his friend. She was stunned and asked what was going on.

“He said, ‘Well, two vaginas so I thought two guys would be appropriate’,” Annie said.

She couldn’t believe what was happening. She felt like the “human” and “respect” element was missing.

Charlotte added that no matter what kind of work she did, she should be able to go on a date without being a tick box.

“With work, it’s so easy to be like ‘it’s just a job’. But with my dating life, I am more than just my two vaginas,” she said.

She said sex was an important part of the relationship. But now she feels as though people don’t want to get to know her. Instead, she feels like a box to tick off.

Charlotte says she rarely gets questions about who she is as a person.

“It makes me feel rubbish. People are just seeing me as a sex object,” she said.

Charlotte said it was “deflating” and that she’s currently off the apps. But she’s looking to date.

She said wished someone would hit on her at the gym as it’s “the only place she’ll meet men”.

She added she didn’t realize what a “common theme” it was for two men — particularly friends — to engage in a sexual act with a woman at the same time.

When Charlotte was younger, she said she wasn’t as open about having two vaginas and told people individually.

She said many people had reached out to thank her. Her honesty, they’ve said, has given them a reference point to bring up their own concerns to friends about their genitalia.

It’s something she wouldn’t change for the world.
