New Delhi: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has finally met the auto-rickshaw driver, Bhajan Singh Rana, who rushed the blood-soaked actor to the Lilavati Hospital on the dreadful night of January 16. The actor thanked the auto-driver and assured all help to him, whenever he needs.
Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by an intruder inside his Mumbai residence in the upscale Bandra area of Mumbai on January 16. He was then rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his son Taimur Ali Khan and a staff member. The actor has now returned to his home after undergoing two surgeries.

Actor Saif Ali Khan met the auto-driver Bhajan Singh Rana, who took him to the Lilavati Hospital after he was viciously stabbed. The actor gave the driver a hug and was all smiles as he met him. In the pictures going viral, Saif can be seen all smiles as he poses with the auto driver inside the Lilavati Hospital. Additionally, the Cocktail actor also rewarded him with some money.
According to reports, Bhajan also met Saif Ali Khan’s family including his mother Sharmila Tagore, and others, who thanked him as well for rushing the injured actor to the hospital. Saif met the auto-driver before stepping out of the hospital.
The actor suffered multiple stab injuries and underwent emergency surgeries near his spine. He was discharged from the hospital after five days in the hospital. The team of doctors shared that a 3-inch piece of knife was lodged in his back and the spinal fluid was leaking when he was brought to the hospital. However, the actor is now recovering well at his Mumbai residence.
The auto-driver opened up about his meeting with Saif Ali Khan and told PTI, “I met him (Saif) yesterday at the hospital. He called to thank me, for helping him reach the hospital. He praised me. I got the blessings from him and his family. He introduced me to his mother, and I touched her feet. He gave me whatever he felt was right, and said whenever I need help he will be there.”
Details about Saif Ali Khan’s attack case
The attacker, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was arrested on January 19 in Thane, Mumbai. As per Mumbai Police, he is a Bangladeshi national who had illegally entered India and changed his name to Vijay Das. According to a preliminary investigation, the intruder entered Saif and Kareena’s home with the intention of theft. He entered the actor’s home by scaling the building’s compound wall and went inside the main entrance after finding the security guards asleep.
