‘I will blow up all the power plants…’ Trump gives last warning to Iran, big decision will be taken in Islamabad

International Desk: The smell of gunpowder has deepened in West Asia (Middle East). US President Donald Trump has once again given a direct and strict warning to Iran in his familiar aggressive style. In a statement issued on Sunday, Trump’s two different stances were seen – on one hand he threatened to raze Iran’s infrastructure to the ground, while on the other hand he also offered a last ‘reasonable’ compromise for the talks in Pakistan.

Trump enraged over ceasefire violation

Trump made serious allegations while opening a front against Iran on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’. Trump wrote that Iran has violated the existing ceasefire agreement by opening fire in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, the bullets fired by Iran hit French and British cargo ships, which he called an ‘absolutely intolerable’ act.

Last chance for diplomacy in Islamabad

Amidst the threats, Trump has kept a window of diplomacy open. He informed that his representatives are reaching Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Monday (April 20) evening. There is to be a second round of talks with Iran. Trump has called it a “very fair and reasonable deal” and indicated that if Iran wants its own well-being, it should accept this agreement.

Iran loses more than ₹4000 crore every day

Trump mocked Iran’s threat to close the Strait of Hormuz, saying the US blockade has already brought it to a standstill. According to Trump, due to the closure of this route, Iran is suffering an economic loss of $ 50 crore (about ₹ 4200 crore) every day. He sarcastically said that Iran is unknowingly helping America, because now the world’s oil tankers are turning to the American states of Texas, Louisiana and Alaska to fill oil.

‘No more Mr. Nice Guy’: Trump’s destructive avatar

Trump’s most frightening warning was for the situation of rejecting the agreement. He wrote bluntly, “If they don’t accept the deal, the United States will blow up every power plant and every bridge in Iran. There will be no more decency!” Trump said in a very aggressive tone that he would consider it an honor to accomplish the courage that no American President has shown in the last 47 years. He declared that now is the time to bury ‘Iran’s killing machine’ forever.

Tension and Pakistan’s mediation

This entire controversy started on February 28 when America and Israel carried out air strikes on Tehran. For the past few weeks, a shaky ceasefire had been going on brokered by Pakistan, under which Iran had agreed to allow ships to pass through Hormuz. However, the first round of talks held in Islamabad last week remained inconclusive. Iran has again imposed tough sanctions on the US, accusing it of “betrayal”. Now the eyes of the entire world are fixed on Monday’s Islamabad talks, which will probably decide whether the world will see another horrific war or a path to peace will be found.
