INDIA will strengthen the alliance, will challenge BJP’s ‘vote robbery’ in court and fight a tough battle: Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata. After the crushing defeat in the West Bengal Assembly Elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced to form a special team for a detailed review of the defeat in Kolkata. Accusing the Election Commission of working in favor of the saffron party and rigging the voter list, Mamata said that this was the most atrocious election of her life. Giving a message of opposition unity despite the defeat, he said that all the leaders of India Alliance including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and Uddhav Thackeray have called him and expressed their support. Mamata Banerjee said that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will come to Kolkata to meet her tomorrow on May 6, after which other leaders of the alliance will also meet one by one so that further joint strategy can be prepared.

The dirtiest election I have seen since my student life.

Mamta said that this was not an election, but an open loot of the people’s democratic rights and EVMs. Raising questions on technical rigging, he asked how can 80-90 percent charge remain in EVMs even after voting? This is impossible. Mamata made a sensational claim that two days before the elections her workers were arrested, raided and impartial IAS and IPS officers were removed and BJP’s favorites were deployed. The Chief Minister made a direct attack and said that this was match fixing between BJP and Election Commission. He alleged that by hatching a conspiracy in the name of SIR, 90 lakh names were removed from the voter list and after going to court, only 32 lakh were added back. Accusing the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of direct interference, Mamata said that she had never seen such a despicable and disgusting game in her entire political career.

When TMC went to court, 32 lakh names were restored, but the game did not end here. He alleged that later 7 lakh more names were added secretly, about which no one was allowed to know. Mamta said that even in 2004, when she was alone, she had not seen such electoral robbery and atrocities.

After the results of West Bengal Assembly Elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while denying her defeat, has sensationally accused BJP of ‘murder of democracy’ and ‘looting of votes’. Mamta roared and said that we have not lost the election, but BJP has kidnapped the mandate by using the Election Commission. In a big revelation, he claimed that in the name of voter list revision, lakhs of votes of his supporters were deliberately deleted and his agents were intimidated during the counting. Mamta made it clear that the entire India Alliance stands with her and she will not remain silent against this ‘vote robbery’ of BJP, but will challenge this rigging in the court and fight tooth and nail.

Now I am a free bird, I will do things in my own way.

Mamata Banerjee said that my aim is very clear. Now I will strengthen INDIA Alliance like a common person. Right now I don’t have any post, so I am an ordinary citizen. I have given my entire life in the service of the people. In these 15 years, I have not taken even a single penny of pension nor any salary. Now I am a free bird, so whatever work has to be done, I will do it in my own way. Mamta said that history will repeat itself. When BJP is no longer in power at the Centre, they will also have to face the same situation. History will repeat itself. What happened yesterday in Bengal is a dark chapter.
