IAS Vinay Chaubey’s wife Swapna Sanchita interrogated, raid in Lakhisarai in search of Nexgen’s Vinay Singh’s wife Snigdha Singh

Ranchi: Swapna Sanchita, wife of suspended IAS officer Vinay Chaubey, was interrogated by the ACB team. Many senior officers including ACB DIG and SP are being interrogated. This interrogation is taking place at Vinay Chaubey’s house. According to the information, on Sunday morning many officers including ACB DIG, SP reached Vinay Chaubey’s residence on Kanke Road and are interrogating his wife. It is noteworthy that earlier on December 3, Swapna Sanchita was interrogated by the ACB team at her residence.

It is noteworthy that ACB had registered the fourth FIR against IAS officer Vinay Choubey on November 24. Seven people including his relatives and friend Vinay Singh have been named accused in this FIR. All have been accused of corruption and acquiring immense wealth through it. Apart from Vinay Chaubey, his wife Swapna Sanchita, trusted friend and investor Vinay Singh and Vinay Singh’s wife Sanchita Singh have been named accused in the primary. Apart from this, Vinay Chaubey’s brother-in-law Shipij Trivedi, Shipij Trivedi’s wife Priyanka Trivedi and Vinay Chaubey’s father-in-law SN Trivedi are also named accused. In the primary, allegations have been made of embezzlement worth crores, fake transactions and misappropriation of illegal assets through family and employees. Vinay Chaubey and Vinay Singh are currently in jail in a case registered in connection with liquor scam and land scam.

On the other hand, the team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) is continuously active in search of Snigdha Singh, wife of Nexgen Automobile owner Vinay Singh, accused in liquor and land scam in Jharkhand. In this sequence, the ACB team raided their possible hideouts in Nayasarai in Lakhisarai district of Bihar on Sunday morning. A convoy of three vehicles of Jharkhand ACB reached Nayasarai on Sunday morning, where the team is busy searching for Snigdha Singh on the basis of information related to him.

Why is Snigdha Singh being searched?

Nexgen Automobile operator Vinay Kumar Singh is currently lodged in Hazaribagh jail. ACB has sent notices to his wife Snigdha Singh several times for questioning in cases related to liquor scam and forest land scam, but she has not appeared before the ACB. ACB has called Snigdha Singh for questioning in the liquor scam case. Snigdha Singh is also an accused in the Hazaribagh forest land scam. ACB is considering Snigdha Singh as an important link in the entire case. This case of forest land scam is related to Vinay Kumar Choubey’s tenure as Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner, when the land was frozen in the name of Snigdha Singh. In this case, ACB has already arrested Vinay Kumar Singh, Vijay Pratap, Vinay Chaubey and the then zonal officer Shailesh Kumar and many others. The arrest or interrogation of Snigdha Singh is being considered important to take the investigation forward in this high-profile case.
