IBPS PO Prelims 2024 day 1 exam ends; check difficulty level

New Delhi: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducted the IBPS Probationary Officers (POs) prelims day 1 exam 2024 today, October 19. As per the candidates who attempted the exam today, overall the IBPS PO prelims 2024 exam was moderate.

The IBPS PO prelims paper was held in a total of four shifts. Shift 1 was held from 8 AM to 9 AM, shift 2 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, shift 3 from 1 PM to 2 PM and shift 4 from 3:30 PM to 4: 30 PM. As per the candidates, the one-hour time duration that was given to attempt the paper was insufficient. Many of them managed to attempt nearly about 60 questions in the IBPS PO Prelims paper 2024.

The paper had one case-based question and two sets of Data Interpretation (DI). Most of the puzzles involved variables.

  • Reasoning- There were age-based questions, odd one-out questions, circular seating arrangement, box-based puzzles, comparison-based puzzles, blood relations and Chinese coding.
  • Quantitative- This section had number series, data interpretation, various arithmetic problems, simplification and case leads.
  • English- The questions were on error finding, reading comprehension, spelling corrections and fillers.

IBPS PO prelims 2024 paper had a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The paper is divided into three sections- English, reasoning ability and quantitative aptitude. Each of the questions carries one mark each. For each of the incorrect answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted. As per the IBPS PO recruitment 2024 selection process, candidates will be shortlisted based on the prelims exam, main exam and an interview.

The PO Prelims day 2 exam will be conducted tomorrow, October 22. The exam analysis of day 2 will be available once the exam is concluded.
