ICC disburses Rs 4.80 crore to Pakistan for T20 World Cup, India pocket bigger sum

The ICC has announced the distribution of the prize money after the final of the T20 World Cup 2026. A total of INR 103 crore was distributed among the teams. The list also includes teams that were eliminated from the group stage, Super 8 round and the semi-finals.

A payment of $225,000 each was given to all the participating nations. The Men in Blue got INR 24.25 crore for winning the tournament, while the runners-up, New Zealand, were given INR 13.08 crore. South Africa and England, the two losing semi-finalists, received INR 9.24 crore and INR 8.96 crore, respectively.

Pakistan, who were eliminated from the Super 8 stage, got INR 4.80 crore.

Meanwhile, the BCCI announced a reward of INR 131 crore for the Indian team and the support staff.

“An amount of INR 131 crore is being given to the men’s team for winning the T20 World Cup 2026. It is the biggest amount given to the team. I congratulate all the players and the support staff,” BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla told ANI.
