Throwing the ball at Ben Duckett cost Gurnoor Brar a lot, got punishment from ICC
Gurnoor Brar: Gurnoor Brar has been found guilty of violating the code of conduct during the first ODI match played against England at Edgbaston, for which the ICC has sentenced him.
Gurnoor Brar: Indian fast bowler Gurnoor Brar is in trouble before the second ODI match to be played in Cardiff. The ICC has taken major action against him for violating the code of conduct during the first ODI played against England at Edgbaston. The ICC has found Brar guilty of Level-1 code of conduct violation, for which he has been given one demerit point and was also given an official warning. However, ICC has not imposed any fine on him.
The ball was thrown at Ben Duckett
In fact, during England’s innings in the first ODI played at Edgbaston, Ben Duckett was batting in front of Gurnoor Brar who came to bowl in the eighth over. Duckett pushed the fifth ball of the over towards the front and the ball went straight to Brar. After this, the Indian bowler threw the ball dangerously towards the batting wicket. The match referee called this action of Brar inappropriate and dangerous.
Gurnoor Brar has been warned, handed one demerit point for “throwing a ball at or near a player in an inappropriate and or dangerous manner during an international match.”

ICC sentenced
ICC issued an official statement saying that Indian fast bowler Gurnoor Brar has violated Article 2.9 of the Code of Conduct, for which he has been given demerit point. The ICC has also said in its statement that Brar has accepted his mistake and has accepted the punishment given by match referee Richie Richardson. In such a situation, there is no need to hear this matter.
Great performance in the first ODI
Indian star pacer Gurnoor Brar had given a strong performance in the first ODI match against England. In this match, Brar bowled 9 overs and took 2 wickets for 61 runs. Gurnoor took both these wickets in the same over. He had dismissed Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethel.
