Virat was number-1 in 2021

Along with this, let us tell you that Virat Kohli was last at number-1 in the ICC ODI rankings in April 2021. Then he was removed from the throne by Babar Azam of Pakistan. Now once again Kohli is trying to reach the top. Team India is going to play the next ODI series against New Zealand from January 11. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are expected to perform well in this series. At the age of 38 and 37, the presence of both the legends in the top-2 of the ICC rankings is praiseworthy.

Tremendous performance against South Africa

Virat Kohli had performed tremendously in the ODI series against South Africa. In the first ODI played in Ranchi, he scored 135 runs in 120 balls, then scored 102 runs in the second ODI played in Raipur.
