ICC Rankings: Indians’ dominance continues, dominance in top-10 from batsmen to all-rounders; Most have special relationship with MI

ICC T20 Rankings before IPL 2026: After winning the T20 World Cup, the performance of the Indian team has remained at a high level and its direct effect is also visible in the ICC T20 rankings. The strong presence of Indian players in all three departments – batting, bowling and all-rounder – has made it clear that India is currently one of the most powerful teams in this format.

According to the latest rankings, a total of 7 Indian players are included in the top-10, which shows the depth and balance of Team India.

Indians dominate in batting

India’s dominance is most visible in the batting rankings.

  • Abhishek Sharma is at number-1 with 875 rating.
  • Ishan Kishan in second place (871)
  • Tilak Verma at sixth place (742)
  • Suryakumar Yadav at ninth place (722)

The presence of four Indian batsmen in the top-10 shows how dangerous and deep India’s batting lineup is. The special thing is that many of these players are associated with IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) and some have been a part of it before.

India is not behind in bowling also

Indian players have also strengthened their identity in the bowling rankings.

Varun Chakraborty, who was holding the first position for a long time, is now at the second position, in his place Afghanistan captain and fast spinner Rashid Khan has now come to the first position. Whereas in the top-10, India’s second most successful bowler and player of the match of the T20 World Cup final, Jasprit Bumrah has come in fifth place.

Even though Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is at number-1 in this list, Indian bowlers continue to remain in the top ranking and are playing an important role for the team.

Hardik’s charm as an all-rounder

India’s Hardik Pandya remains at the second position in the all-rounder rankings and he is continuously making important contributions to the team with both bat and ball. In this list, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza occupies the top position, while Pakistan’s young player Sam Ayub is at third place. The thing to note is that at present Hardik Pandya is the only Indian player in the top-10 all-rounder ranking. Although Shivam Dubey was also a part of this list till some time ago, but now he has slipped to 11th place.

Special connection of Mumbai Indians

The interesting thing is that Mumbai Indians (MI) also have a big contribution in this dominance of Indian players. Many players have made it to Team India after playing IPL and performing brilliantly in domestic cricket.

Many players included in the top-10—

  • Suryakumar Yadav
  • Tilak Verma
  • hardik pandya
  • Jasprit Bumrah

The influence of these players associated with Mumbai Indians is clearly visible in international cricket also. Interestingly, Ishan Kishan, who made a brilliant comeback in the World Cup, has also played the role of wicketkeeper-batsman for MI for a long time and is currently a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This example shows that IPL franchises not only provide a platform to the players but also make them stronger at the international level by enhancing their performance.

The dominance of Indian players in the ICC T20 rankings is not limited to statistics alone, but it also reflects the current strength and future prospects of Team India.

Aggression in batting, variety in bowling and all-round performance—the balance of these three makes India one of the most dangerous teams in T20 cricket.

If this form continues, then it is certain that the dominance of Indian players will continue in the coming tournaments also.
